DICKIE&MOORE ‘ON TIME AND ON BUDGET’
WITH FIRST RSL COMMISSION
Following their appointment by registered social landlord (RSL), Atrium Homes, award
winning Dickie&Moore have completed an amenity homes project at the Hapland Mill development in Dunlop, Ayrshire.
This is the first such partnership between East Kilbride based Dickie & Moore and Atrium Homes but Dickie & Moore were able to call on their extensive experience to deliver the
project on time and on budget.
The development consists of 12 amenity properties which will provide much needed
specialist accommodationfor older and ambulant disabled residents of Dunlop. Amenity housing provides independence to older people, who may have a medical need or physical disability. It is designed with specific modifications such as wet-floor bathrooms, handrails, non-slip flooring and repositioned electrical sockets to make independent living easier.
Commenting on behalf of Atrium Homes, Celia Reilly said;
“The amenity housing project at Hapland Mill is Atrium Homes's first design and build commission to a private housing developer. Feedback from the first tenants who've moved in is very positive and we are very pleased with the level of professionalism shown by Dickie & Moore and with the quality end product.”
John Dickie of Dickie & Moore adds;
“We have been delighted to work with Atrium Homes, and we are pleased
that it is once again a case of Dickie&Moore being ‘on time and on budget’.”
DICKIE&MOORE DELIVER FOR GREENOCK
Greenock Wanderers RFC are the proud owners of a stunning new Clubhouse, which was formally opened by HRH The Princess Royal in February 2008.
In partnership with Dickie&Moore, a deal was struck which allowed the developer to purchase land adjacent to the Club, to create Octavia Terrace, a development of 14 luxury two and three bedroom apartments. In return, Dickie&Moore, working with the Club Committee, designed and built the magnificent new 7000 sq ft, 2 storey Clubhouse, which enjoys a traditional look externally but boasts state of the art facilities internally. The new building was completed in
just 37 weeks and is now the envy of all visiting teams!
Charles Shaw Chairman of the Wanderers Development Committee commented
“We knew that Dickie&Moore had experience of delivering exactly this type of project. We were
therefore more than happy to put the project in their experienced hands and are delighted with the building they have been able to deliver! I would suggest that any Club with spare land and a need for
a new clubhouse, has a serious discussion with them.”
