Dickie & Moore were appointed by Lorn Macneal Architects to construct a new build traditional 2/3 storey private dwelling overlooking the 17th hole of the Golf House Club, Elie.
The building was designed with a contemporary feel with the living space on the 1st floor to take in the wonderful views. The envelope was constructed using a mix of render, zinc, oak and glass. The internal space is very bright and spacious with floor to ceiling glass in the kitchen / living space. A full low energy lighting design was installed giving mood lighting control to all rooms along with state of the art cinema room and a Sonos music system wired throughout.
An under floor heating system was installed on ground and 1st floors with wireless controls for adjusting comfort. With the environment in mind, solar panels and photovoltaics were installed to assist with the hot water and electricity consumption.
Bespoke furniture was manufactured and installed to bathrooms and living space working in collaboration with the client and Ian Smith Design.< back to projects
